Benburb Herstory June 2024

Join us on the 20th June to listen to Aine French. Here is Aine in her own words.

"One day I had every thing and often felt so lucky maybe sometimes … too lucky  Then out of the blue life changed.  I found myself in a very dark place struggling to keep things going for my 4 kids. I pushed friends and family away and threw myself into my work. I became an expert at painting my face on and have accepted it now as part of who I am. ! Sometimes what  challenges you often makes you stronger.   Through my journey I found my old self who I realised had been locked away .  I found the courage to walk away from my beautiful home as heart broke as I was I knew it was the right thing to do.    I pushed myself out of my comfort zone , I supported my kids solely and made amazing memories along the way !  I wish they hadn’t had to go through the challenges we faced , I know they have scars but I am so proud of the young adults they have become !  I hope they know .. every thing I did was because they were reason I got up every day."
