Co- Antrim - Mother Daughter Retreat Day - 9-12 Year Olds

Joanne & Chloe will be your Mentors for the day and we are deligthed to have been invited by Sabrina to share our unique Changing Cycles Mother Daughter Retreat Days toWillow & Lore. 

We ran our first Retreat of this nature in August 2020 and have had a number of special days in Co- Armagh, Co - Tyrone & Co - Down and now Co-Antrim. 

In ancient civilisations young women would have learnt about their changing bodies from other women in their communities who would have gathered in a “Red Tent” during Menstruation.  This was a beautiful way to supoort and nurture girls as the journey to becoming Young Women.  

We hope to recreate this empowering environment whilst enjoying movement, games, music, crafts and time in nature.  

This gentle approach will help us to break stigma, taboo & shame around menstruation and create a beauftiful day with lasting memories. 

We will nurture a healthy relationship with her body for your daughter and support bonding and connection between mother and daughter in the years ahead. 

Additional Info

• Light Refreshments for everyone & a First Period Gift Box to the value of £15 is included for each girl attending. 
• Please Bring a Packed Lunch & dress for the weather, we will spend as much of the day outside as possible. Even if it is dry grass maybe wet so please wear suitable footwear. 
• An Information Video will be provided for Mums to listen to before the day that should answer any questions and provide relevant info. We will also request that a simple questionaire is completed so we can have some basic details in advance of our gathering.
