On Winter Solstice the sun lights the passage tomb at Newgrange at Sunrise. New Grange is also known as Brú na Bóinne which some translate as 'Womb of the Moon. The Sun then sets in the passage tomb at Slieve Gullion. We will gather to honour the energies of this day at the foot of Slieve Gullion.

An afternoon of stillness, quiet and rest, a chance to rest and honour the true energies of the season. Weather permitting after the afternoon retreat we for those who wish to join we will climb Slieve Gullion for sunset. ( This is done at your own risk)
