In ancient civilisations girls and young women would have learnt about their changing bodies from other women in their communities who gathered in a “Red Tent” during Menstruation. We hope to recreate this empowering environment whilst enjoying movement, games, music, crafts and time in nature.

About the event
This will be our 6th Year running our Mother & Daughter Retreat Day's. For girls aged 9-12 year olds, we also hold an inclusive and welcome any woman who has a nurturing/supportive role in a girls life. We are very excited to share this special day with those that attend.
In ancient civilisations, girls and young women would have learnt about their changing bodies from other women in their communities who would have gathered in a “Red Tent” during Menstruation. This was a beautiful way to support and nurture girls on the journey to becoming Young Women.
We hope to recreate this empowering environment whilst enjoying movement, games, music, crafts and time in nature. This will help us to break stigma, taboo & shame around menstruation and create a beautiful day with lasting memories. We will nurture a healthy relationship with her body for your daughter and support bonding…
