Mother Daughter Wisdom Circle

"Any woman who heals herself, heals 7 generations forward & 7 generations back" Indigenous Wisdom.

Soft intricate floral patterns and earthy textures representing community and growth.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new 9-month journey designed specifically for mothers and daughters from Primary 5 to Primary 7.  We have seen first hand the need for a space like this and are really excited to be offering it.

Why a Mother -  Daughter Circle?

Nurturing the relationship between a mother and daughter, when a girl is beginning to move towards greater independence and discovering who she is is so important.

Primary 5 to Primary 7 can be such a beautiful, but sometimes confusing, stage of life.  Girls are changing emotionally, socially and physically. They are beginning to notice the world, and themselves, in new ways.

Friendships become increasingly important and complex, self consciousness can grow, and issues around bodies, confidence, emotions, periods, boundaries and belonging can come to the fore.

At the same time, mothers are navigating their own changing relationship with their daughters. We can sometimes find ourselves caught between wanting to protect them and knowing we need to let them grow.  This can often also coincide with quiet signiificant shifts in

This circle creates space for both.

A space to slow down, connect and have the conversations that don’t always happen naturally in everyday life.

This modern Red Tent-inspired circle offers a sanctuary for growth, sharing, and deep connection as you navigate the transition into adolescence together.

How it will work.

We’ll begin with our Retreat Day on Sunday 13th September, creating a beautiful foundation for the journey ahead. And if you can’t make the September retreat, please don’t let that stop you from joining. You can still be part of the nine month journey and join us for the retreat experience in spring.

We’ll then gather once a month for nine months, with dates to be confirmed.

The circle will include time for mothers and daughters to come together, as well as opportunities for mothers to gather and connect with one another.

Every few months, we’ll create a longer experience where the girls are more deeply involved.

There may also be opportunities for informal meet ups between circles, depending on what feels supportive for the group.

What we will explore.

During our time together, we’ll create space for conversations and experiences around things such as:

• Growing and changing bodies • The transition into adolescence • Periods and menstrual wisdom • Emotions and self awareness • Confidence and self worth • Friendship and belonging • Boundaries and relationships • Social media and the wider world • Identity and discovering who you are • Mother daughter communication • Intuition and inner wisdom • Celebrating the milestones and transitions in life.

There will also be plenty of space for creativity, connection, laughter, reflection and simply being together.

The intention isn’t to fill every gathering with information. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer our daughters is simply our presence.

A serene morning landscape symbolizing new beginnings and wisdom.

Ancient Wisdom for the Modern World.

Traditionally, Red Tent spaces offered women a place to gather, share stories, pass down wisdom and support one another through the different seasons of life.

This circle takes inspiration from that idea and brings it into a mother and daughter space.

It is not about being a perfect mum or having all the answers.

It is about being together.

About creating memories, sharing wisdom, listening without judgement and giving our girls the experience of being surrounded by women who can remind them that they are not alone.

It gives mothers the opportunity to pass on the things that often aren’t taught in school: the wisdom that comes through lived experience, conversations, stories and simply being witnessed.

And it gives daughters the opportunity to ask questions, express themselves, hear different perspectives and experience their mothers in a different way.

More than a monthly gathering

Our  hope is that this becomes more than something you attend once a month.

We hope it becomes a community of like minded women and girls. A counter balance to some of the societal messages and expectations that women and girls are exposed to.

A place where mothers feel supported in navigating this season of parenting, and where girls begin to experience the power of women gathering together, sharing wisdom and holding one another.

A place where conversations can begin that continue at home.

A place where daughters can look back and remember:

“My mum made space for me. She wanted to know me. She listened to me.

We did this together.”

These years go so quickly.

And while we can’t stop our daughters from growing, we can choose how we walk alongside them.

We can choose to create rituals of connection.

We can choose to make space for the conversations.

We can choose to pass on wisdom.

And we can choose to build a relationship that

can continue to evolve as our daughters

move into the next chapter of their lives.

This is an invitation to do just that.

To gather.

To connect.

To listen.

To learn.

To share wisdom.

And to honour the beautiful, changing relationship between mother and daughter.

The circle begins Sunday 13th September with our Retreat Day.
